Picture this:
A replica of Boston's famed Liberty Tree growing in a high profile location in your town - a living tribute to the Sons of Liberty who took our first courageous steps toward freedom. On August 14, 1765, they hung King George in effigy from the Liberty Tree in protest of the Stamp Act. For the next ten years it bore silent witness to meetings, speeches, and celebrations by the Sons of Liberty. In August of 1775, as the British soldiers left Boston in a last act of violence they cut down this symbol of freedom.
