We have established the Liberty Tree Society to celebrate that dramatic moment and America's first flag that flew from the Liberty Tree. By planting a living replica of Boston's famous elm in school yards across the nation, marking it with a bronze tablet describing this first blow for freedom and providing teachers with a classroom project, "Whatever Happened to America's Liberty Tree?" we seek to inspire students in elementary schools to become worthy successors to the "Sons of Liberty", who first hoisted those "rebellious stripes".

Here Are Some Ways You Can Help:

  • • Fund one or more Memorials

  • • Leave a Bequest or set up a Gift Annuity for the benefit of the Liberty Tree Society.
  • • Help us establish the Liberty Tree Memorial as the ideal Eagle Scout project

  • • Fund further Research on Dutch Elm Disease (click HERE for more information on Elm Research Institute)

  • • Help us introduce "Whatever Happened to America's Liberty Tree?" into class rooms across the nation
